R. Cushman & Associates, Inc. is a design and manufacturing company with over 40 years experience in power transmission products.  Our applications continue to be used in off and on-road vehicles, such as military vehicles, airport rescue and fire fighting equipment, front discharge concrete delivery trucks, hydro and standard vacuum trucks, mobile drilling rigs, railroad support and maintenance equipment, and drives for the steel and mining industries.

History

R. Cushman & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1966 as Noster Industries Inc. for the design and manufacture of special transmissions. Mr. Cushman acquired sole ownership in 1985 and the name was changed to R. Cushman & Associates Inc. In 1987 the company moved into a new 26,000 square foot facility in Livonia, Michigan.  An additional 15,000 square foot facility was opened in 2002.  In 2009 R. Cushman & Associates consolidated facilities in Farmington, MI.  Facilities now include two plants and 41,000 square feet of manufacturing and engineering.  Since 1987 we have developed over 600 new designs that encompass a broad range of applications including Military, Industrial, Construction, Marine, and Heavy Duty On and Off Highway applications.
